Keeping Your Brand Consistent
When we talk about brand consistency, many people think it just refers to the visuals. However how people see you can come from many other elements that if forgotten, can affect the overall consistency of your brand.
When we look at what a brand is as a whole, it is the perception and feeling that we communicate to our market. The visuals are only a small part of the overall experience. The way you dress, talk, email and the level of your customer service all come into play and represent the entire brand. If one of these elements doesn’t align with the others, it may send the wrong message to your audience and allow for a misguided interpretation.
Take a family friendly business for example. The way you talk and present yourself would be different to that of a law firm wouldn’t it? So it’s important to know what market you’re trying to appeal to and how you should visually and verbally communicate with them.
So in keeping your brand consistent, ensure that all your elements are working together and sending the same message.
