3 Ways To Leave A Lasting Impression Through Packaging your Service

How to ‘package’ your service.

If you're like me and your business revolves around servicing your clients and customers where there is no tangible goods being handed over, then how can you package your service and leave them with something memorable?

Real Estate is a classic for this kind of thing. Other than some paper work, there really is no tangible reminder of the transaction that was once had.

Here are my top 3 ideas to package your service and leave a well branded lasting impression.

1. Wrapping Paper

It may sound super simple but the motion of unwrapping something enhances a positive experience and extends on the ‘gift’ idea.

With my brands that I hand over, yes I could drop box the files but for me, what fun is had in downloading?

Wrapping paper for The Real Estate Firm adds a little bit extra to their ‘Seller’ and ‘Homeowner’ gifts.

So instead I load all artwork and brand guides onto a solid USB, presented with a thank you card and neatly wrapped in branded wrapping paper. This simple method has a proven track record (for me) as leaving a lasting impression and more times than not, they appreciate the effort and thought that has gone into that final handover.

2. Hand Written Cards

Something that won’t cost you a thing, just a little extra time, is a hand written note. Once again, it’s about demonstrating the thought and effort. Rarely do we receive a hand written card or letter so when we do receive one, we appreciate it even more.

Even better, customise what you write and make is personal.

It’s all about showing that you care about the client and that you appreciate them and their business.

3. Labels and Stickers

Labels are a great way to brand material and are so cost effective!

But the trick with labels is to get creative with them.

Take these labels that I have recently created for a client. Previously they would deliver their work on a plain box, but now, they consistently remind their clients that they are working with a quality dental lab by having to cut through the ‘quality seal’.

Just like a cap on a new bottle of water or the perf seal on a new lip balm. The quality seal requires our client to take an action which in turn will make that experience more memorable.

So there you have it. 3 ways to brand and package your service.

Ideas that won’t break the bank but you can bank on leaving a lasting impression!

Let me know if you have any packaging methods that work a treat for you!
